Dave,

The New Beetle rims are 5 X 100 mm vs. your Westy's 5 X 112 mm. Close but no cigar. It is also offset to far inward. That can be alleviated by installing spacers. You can cure the pattern difference by having redrilled to a different bolt pattern as well. Unfortunately, by the time you get all this work done, add shipping back and forth to a proper machine shop (if one is not capable of doing the process in your area), plus the purchase of different lugnuts/bolts, you would have been better off buying wheels specifically designed for your Westy. That is of course assuming you are not so attached to the style of wheels on the New beetle. That's my reason for having redrilled Replica Porsche Fuchs alloys on my 87 GL.
