A foolish consistency, Jeff.....   Stand by that freedom, and I pity the
person you hit.

Just drive safe everyone.  And remember that it IS in fact illegal to drive
with a cell phone without the hands free set in New York, and will soon be
in California too.

Free country - what an absurd, overused, oversimplified notion.   Last I
checked, most of our laws start with, "Thou shalt not....."  Try reading
some Rousseau and you might learn some of the basic tenets of modern
democracy, e.g. the social contract.  Individual freedom is balanced with
(some might say 'compromised by') the common good.  Anyone who says
otherwise, ie the annoying bully who decides he can do whatever he wants
because, 'It's a free country', is an idiot.

BTW - Who gives a shit about whether your kids go to private school?  Is
that supposed to nullify Debra's comments?  Does this exempt both you and
them from basic courtesy?

On that note, I'm going to be a total hypocrite and ask, CAN WE PLEASE END
THIS THREAD!?!?!?!

Sorry to rant.  Insulting California just sets me off.
