<snip> It's simple for me. * It's the "smallest biggest" package I could find for transporting my shifter kart and gear to the races - easily the most compact and maneuverable 201 cu ft of space there is * a turning circle as small (possibly smaller) than my Focus * a size that fits in my garage in the winter months with my other two cars * a vehicle that makes kids smile when I pass them (laughing with or at me, it doesn't matter - they're smiling) * one that handles far better than a full size US van * one that has a rear deck height that is an exact match for the height of my kart stand * one that has a manual transmission (somethng that has kept me from considering a new VR6 Eurovan, along with doubts that the E-van would hold all my gear as easily as the Vanagon) * and one that is just a lot more fun to drive than I expected, which means I use it just for the heck of it sometimes, something I'd never do with a full-size US van. They aren't fun. Now if I could just rationalize the money to do something about getting a LOT more horsepower to make keeping up with the rest of my team on the highway easier... :)
