Tom,
Not to argue with you about the length of your key (not going there, are
we), but if the cap is installed upside down (rotated 180 deg.), it's a bear
getting the key inside to lock or unlock it. The keyway is off center just
enough that it will really only work one way, even though you can put the
cap in position either direction.

I guess you have to be careful about the length of the "blank" used to cut
any new key.
