Ok--Here is the facts----
I gave the guy $5900.00 for the van, and after tires,KYB shocks, air
lifts, front rotor's, bearing , pads, rear drums, shoes, all new 50 watt
bulbs for the tail lights, winsheild, wiper blades , arms, radio,
speaker's,rear hatch struts, antenna, propane tank valves, complete tune
up stuff, K&N air filter, fuel filter, replacement sky light, rear
bumper and ends, one front bumper end, console, water faucet, gove box
light, fresh air vent in dash, all new belts, and a bunch of misc.
whatnot---
How much do I have into the Van right now?
And I still have some more to go, so it will suit me---
I will have at least $8000.00 in it when I'm done-------
So the BS figure I gave this guy is close----
Yep---I'm the grim reaper alright---
But I'm honest about it---
And so is Stanley--

Ole Stanley professes, that what ever you spend on a Vanagon, plan
spending again on it, what you spent on it to make it right----
I think he is pretty close to being correct---

Dale ,
Sounds like a nice Westy---
Now be ready to spend whatever you paid for it on repair's, prior to it
being the way that you want it to be----
And this is direct from the "World according to Stanley"-----
Have Fun---

Well.
Trish and I are the happy owners of a 1990 Westy: white, power locks,
windows, mirrors, cruise, air, automatic
very nice interior, fridge, stove
perfect canvas, screens
body in very good condition
virtually new tires; alloy wheels
top half of engine rebuilt at 102,000 miles; currently has 104,000 miles
odd: not a drop of oil on the ground where it's
parked: :-)
want to buy: bra, front table/post/hardware bought it at Castle Rock, WA
