I have just installed a new S&S header system on my '87 Westy. I've read in the archives that they are not always a perfect fit. Well mine went in perfectly (with a LOT of effort) until I got to the muffler. The tailpipe is rubbing against the body. Has anyone else with this system had this problem? I don't want to try to modify the muffler too much since I just had it ceramic coated. It seems my only options are to make an indention in the body using either a hammer or torch. Any other suggestions? Thanks, Darren. |
