Derek, what does the installtion manual say? it says 4.5L API oil. That is about 4.73 quarts. DO NOT TRUST THE HASH MARKS ON THE DIPSTICK. btdt! If i just put in oil till the hash marks are 'wet' i'd have about 1.75 quarts of oil in my rig.... From Peter B (and Kyle from Volkscafe): Add 4 quarts, cycle the oil (as in run the engine). Then mark that as your low point on the stick. Now add another quart & again cycle the oil. Now mark that as your high point. In the ideal world that would be the top and bottom of the dipstick, but in my case (and a few others) it ain't the case. matthew 86 syncro westy tiico Derek Krueger wrote: > > Okay, I have received a few different numbers relating to the oil capacity > of the Tiico conversion for the Vanagon.
