If you add the front gaskets, you will also need to add the rear window
exhaust vents, and you should block off the air intake vents at the lower
rear edge of the front doors. This is because on vans prior to (I think)
90-91, the cabin air exhaust is via those vents in the front doors through
the doors to the front edge of the front doors (there are slots in the
front edge of the door). Sounds goofy, but that front edge turns out to
be a low pressure zone when the van is moving (just like any other barn
door moving sideways...)
The front gasketing and the blocking of the front air vent does make a big
difference in noise, but I would be tempted to go for the soundproofing
that Bulley and others have done first.
