I've got a scoop setup for mine but it appears to work just as well without it. The acid test will be when daily temperatures reach 100 degrees (f) (the f is so the Canadians don't Texas is Hell). The scoop apparatus just goes on with three flat strap brackets so I'll be testing it as the temperatures rise. By then I'll be packing that home brewed hang on A/C window unit I built for extreme camping when I give up the outback and start going to Pay-For-A-View camping spots. I had a 66 Turbo Corvair Coupe and never could keep a clutch in it. Motor ran great though other than slow to start. Back to the cooler, I ran my Westy real hard all the way from Dallas to Albuquerque and never built any temps over about 220 (f) , coming back I was driving at night and couldn't get the damn engine over 200 degrees with 48-55 (f) temps.
