Subject: looking for source for "crazy trailer"
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

Hi Volks:

I'm looking for this fantastic "trailer" I saw at Busses by the Arch a few years ago - can you help me get more info on it?

It was much like one of those common hitch-platforms, but had these differences:

1. It was directly attached to the rear of the van by two pivots, so it like was "mounted with a hinge" to the van; 2. The platform was supported by a large single trailer wheel (under the platform - about in the middle) - and it worked exactly like a spring-loaded, shock-dampened caster wheel!

The neat thing about it was that as you drove the van, turned, backed up - etc - the caster wheel would rotate and roll in the correct direction.

Since it was not a trailer (no hitch - direct mount) it also did not require a license.

I don't know it's capacity, but it looked like it could handle a few hundred pounds - easily.

Does anybody know more about it - and especially - where it could be purchased?

Thanks,

Marshall Ruskin 84 Westy
