There is a very easy way to do this.  Buy a small
flathead bit from Home Depot or Lowes.  These are the
bits made to put into a screwdriver handle with
interchangeable bits so the one handle can be
flathead, phillips, allen, etc.  The bit costs less
than a dollar.

Slide this into the hole on the underside of the
handle, you will see the hole it goes into.  Twist it
by hand until it lifts into the slot.  Then hold it up
with one finger, and with the other hand, use a small
wrench to turn it.  My bits require a 1/4" wrench.

Works like a charm.  Much easier than using the bent
screwdriver approach, because you don't need to reseat
the bit with every turn.
