For those planning to tear themselves away from tire threads, silver sockets, etc.,
and actually take their Vanagons camping this Memorial Day weekend and beyond, you
should be aware of closures and restrictions in effect due to extreme fire danger,
especially in the Southwest U.S. and specifically Arizona.
The Prescott NF, including Potato Patch (sorry Karl W.) will close completely
effective Friday 5-24 at 8:00 AM.
Various restrictions and closures ranging up to 80% are in effect for the others.
Do a Google search for specifics on:
    Apache-Sitgreaves, Coconino, Coronado, Kaibab and Tonto National Forests.
