Subject: Oil Warning Light & Alarm Mystery
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

I've got a 1990 Carat...last winter it overheated due to a blown coolant hose...anyway...long story short....after it overheated (but before I knew the head gasket went) the oil light and buzzer would go off..especailly after climbing a steep hill.

Eventually it was going off all the time. Well...I had the Heads redone, he replaced the oil alarm switch ..and just driving it around today the oil alarm starting acting up again.

Any info on why it is doing this...and what IS the right switch for a '90 ???? Are vanagons known for a glitch with this switch...cause it's a bitch. :-)
