well, considering the number of aftermarket cow-catchers we see in everyday life (modifications to pickups and suv's, mainly), i can't believe the insurance companies bat too many eyelashes. in a frontal collision like that, i doubt there's any way to sort out what damage was caused by what in any measurable way. and i believe the burden of proof is on the insurance companies, in that case, isn't it?

note the keywords above: believe, doubt, measurable, believe, and isn't. thus do i stand by my statement...;^)

karl, let me get a big-ol front bumper on my van, then we can play chicken and see which van's frame members are BenT the most. say, head-on at 20 mph, 100 yards runup? winner gets two clearheart redwood 2x6s, 5 feet long, plus a case of carling black label, an industrial-sized tube of black rtv, and a bunch of bolts. oh, and a dent-puller. loser gets just a case of carling black label.

we can do it on another frydaye...ok?
