Tires have sufficient meat, new upper ball joints and tie rod ends, and it's coming from the rear somewhere, anyway. Seems to be below about where the rear bench seat's kickpanel hits the floor. I've recently replaced the rear outer wheel bearings and repacked the rear axles... it was making this noise before any repairs. It sounds... well, if you've ever dropped a dry 2x4 on concrete and had it vibrate before settling down, then speed up that noise and raise the pitch slightly. Sorry, but that's the only thing that reminds me of this noise. Should I have replaced the lower ball joints as well? The boots seem fine, and there wasn't any play.
