Unlike many Vanagon and Westy owners we try to use out Saturday mornings to do a little preventive maintenance ............. because buba its gonna rain unless you're in Southern California. I still contend that Bosh has more than one product line. I think they got a really low grade line that sells at PeP Boys, Chief Auto and such and a premium line that the VW dealer gets. I know there is a big difference in Bosh Ignition Wire Sets I get from VW dealer and the crummy sets at the stores with the greasy driveways.
