Subject:      AC Blowing Fuzes

I just purchased a 1985 Vanagon with the full Westy camper setup. It also has the rear air conditioner and therein is my problem. The AC keeps blowing fuzes, the fan will run just fine but once the compressor kicks in its goodbye fuze. Has anyone experienced a similar problem and what if anything do you recommend?
