I've been off the list awhile...bought a new car and got laid off, so not much work is being afforded to my 87 Vanagon...

In the mean time, now I got a 1999 Jetta that I've got to fix. Just got the Bentley for it. Trying to find a short in the charging system. Check light is on and battery is not charging (new battery).

Anybody know of a Jetta list? I've learned so much about Vanagons through you guys, I thought I'd try to find another list serve...I'm just piddlin' with it, only beginning to learn. I see a lot of similarities with the van though...

Anyway, the broken Jetta is inspiring me to start up working on my van again soon... Nothing like long hot summer days sipping beers and fixin' volkswagens!!

Thanks...

ps...it's great to be back on the list
