Subject: Westy Propane tank---
Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII

I had zero propane at the stove or fridge, and I thought the auto bleed fill valve was messed up---so I got another manual set up---

I dropped the tank yesterday, and laid it on the bench----started to take the bleeder line off the tank and heard--- Hisssssss---

Hmm----must have gas in this darn thing----

I opened the valve, and nothing came out of the T-fitting that feeds the reefer, and the stove, so I took off the regulator---, and opened the valve---gas------

I was screwing around checking the regulator out, and I inadvertently dropped the thing, and it bounced twice on the floor.

I shook it--didn't here anything rattle, and reinstalled it----

Damn---I have gas coming out of them fittings !!!

I applied a heavy coat of say on bed liner the tank, to keep it from rotting, and left it sit overnight---- to dry---

Went to work today---refitted the tank to the Van--and eureka !!

I have a stove that works, and I I tries to light the reefer--but this is going to take some research----but at least i have gas inside the van to the appliances--

Now here is the question--

Is it a common thing for the propane regulator to stick, and prevent the gas from flowing?

Or is this just a prelude to a failing regulator??

Advise, as unusual will be greatly appreciated---

Later,

Terry
