Subject: auto tranny and diff oil
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Yesterday I went to get my rebuilt auto tranny and the differential I had to buy to replace the original. After that, I went to Pep Boys and bought some motul semi-synthetic gear oil for the differential. My question is: is Dexron synthetic correct for the auto transmission? I know specs refer to Dexron II/Mercon or better, but the synthetic only carries one name. Does anybody on the list has had any experience with this oil? I made my mind, and I'm willing to pay the extra money. TIA.

Héctor
