Because it is made in the Black Forrest out of expensitanium alloy by Westfalia elves. Most Vanagons and Westys have a few of these parts - you can usually tell by the price the dealer quotes you. (For example the "fiberglass" bumpers") Bet you didn't know they were really elf crafted.
