<<...All three are broken (bottom on each missing) and I wanted to know, are they easy to take out and even replace?...>>>

Dave, take a suitable sized drill bit and simply drill to through the center of the pop-rivet. They should come right off.

Replacement cuphlders of similar and some withimproved design are available your VW dealer, some listvendors such as Eurocampers, and most Marine and RV supply stores. AT one time even K-mart carried the les expensive variety which used all plastic construction instead of the ones with a metal flat tension spring in the OEM models.

Prices range from $2.99 to $15.00 each. I consider any prices higher than that a rip-off.

You can reinstall them with poprivets or in some cases with screws and nuts.

BenT

I see they are pop riveted in to my brown plastic interior siding. It's tempting to drill out each rivet to take them down.

However, I don't know if I can replace them with any cup holder, if I chose to do that. I'd rather not have 3 hole in my interior if I don't need too.

Anyhow, I wanted to know, has anyone successfully taken out the OEM cup holders (how?) and have you replaced them with different cup holders, in the original place (how?) and with what model cup holder?
