Looks like the thing to do would be strip off all those bumpers, ship with steel wheels, no stereo etc. and bring it back from Germany with all the FuFu parts you bought there already installed on the van. Probably save you enough duty to make it worth while. Those Germans have enough dress up parts for a Vanagon to drive you into the poorhouse and make your pre-91 look like a current model.
