Perhaps the nuts are a bit to tight and there is a crack at a stress point.

The same thing happened to mine. I put some fiberglass tape underneath and put some fiberglass resin on it. The resin it turns out is somewhat flexible.

This fixed the hairline crack for me. Oh by the way drill a 1/8 whole where the crack ends so that it does not crack any further.
