Subject: oil light coming on
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hello all-

87 2.1 van. 160K miles. I stupidly let the oil level drop. temperature light came on driving home last night. Added two quarts and drove in to work this morning. Temperature light did not come on, but the oil light did come on repeatedly with that very disconcerting buzz. This has been happening occasionally, especially after driving under load up hill, etc. but this a.m. it happened about 5-6 times on an average drive to work.

Oil pump going? Other ideas? If it is the oil pump, is this an easy or difficult job? am not leaking any oil anywhere that I can tell.

thanks in advance

Bassim in Seattle
