I'm now at the point where Bentley says, "Remove push rod shield cover," or something like that. (I don't have the book in front of me.) Neither Benley nor Haynes addresses the procedure for doing this, and when I examine the shield, it appears that it is held in place by mounting brackets that also secure the engine. Is this so? If I take those bolts out is the engine going to fall down on my head? :) Those of you who wish to follow my trials and tribulations of this head gasket repair job may do so at the following link: http://members.fortunecity.com/davebaker1/westy/id35.htm TIA.
