Someone (can't remember who right now, sorry) gave me very good advice a week or so ago when I inquired about my exhaust studs into the heads. Go with "keen-sert" or "time-sert" products. I recall that Keen-sert product had a whole set for re-doing spark plug holes. No need to pull the head. Hope this helps. Richard and Annemarie 85 GL "Buba"
