I have a miniscule point to make on the safety of anything----- The Vanagon is a safe as the way its used--same with any vehicle, and I think after tearing one apart, it is built pretty stout for a middle sized Van---- Look at the early Toyota, and Mazda Vans--I wouldn't be caught dead driving in one of those cracker boxes---- And in the event that there was a mishap with another vehicle of todays standards--the other guy would lose, just because of the crush factor built into them--- I ain't saying that the Vanagon would fare well with the likes of a Mack Truck, or maybe a Hum-V----but it is a pretty sound unit as a whole---and its occupants would likely survive an accident of monumental incidence--- Later, ______________ |[ ] [ ] [ ]\ | | | | ~~~ ~||-(())----(())-| Terry-- "Zoom, Zoom, Zoom" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
