However, I have yet to see any noticeable consumption between oil changes from the 2.0 in my '81. I checked the oil yesterday for the first time in several weeks of 70mph+ freeway commuting, not to mention at least two 150+ mile road trips. The oil level was exactly the same as at the last oil change (approx. 2k ago), and was still a nice amber color. I still haven't solved the lifter noise issue (I now suspect a loose valve seat?), but it's running like a champ for the time being...
