The rant threads and flame wars do get tedius. That's why when I see something like that starting I just ignore it for a few days, then when it settles down select the whole thing and nuke it. I do the same with "legitimate" threads that I'm not interested in. I suggest that y'all do the same. This morning I zapped 428 messages that had accumulated while I was out of town for the Memorial Day weekend. I dragged the ones I wanted to a folder I maintain for that purpose and trashed all the rest. Command-click click scroll click click....delete. No strain. I'll be doing the same with this thread after I make this post. I don't care to exercise any censorship beyond what clutters up my own hard drives. Neither do I waste sympathy on those whose sensibilities are so tender as to be unable to tolerate or ignore the existance of opinions contrary to their own. Some will go, others will come. Tom C seems to be exercising about the right amount of adult supervision.
