Well, my van isn't stock, I've added 1.25 ratio rockers, a custom intake and exhaust, and boosted the ignition. I love the way the engine sounds over 3500, especially with my setup. If I really need to get going, I shift around 4500 RPMs and besides the hp peaks around 5000. Adding the rockers also shifts the torque curve up a little so that's why I shift up there. If I drove 55/60 here I would get honked at and flipped off and semi's would be on my butt, gotta love southern california.

Well Joe, that's a bit high.

I never went over 4000rpm and rarely over 3750 even when shifting. Always cruising at 55/60, never never even at 65.

Shifting at 3500 at the most in normal driving condition, many don't believe my fuel consumption but i mostly cruise at 55/60mph.

I don't like the noise of this engine over 3500, it doesn't sound right.
