It was posted that VAG-COM was only in beta version, and suggested that it should not be purchased. That is incorrect. An alpha version has been released. I use the system, and have for nearly 2 years. It works VERY well (even the beta versions), accessing everything on OBDII equipped VW products. For those who don't know, it is software and an interconnect cable allowing the user to access and perform any functions the dealer VAG 1551 tester will do. I use it both to add keys into the system on 2000 and newer VW/Audi, and to troubleshoot and monitor my 2000 New Beetle. In short, don't try to rate a product that you have no first hand experience on. Steve Sandlin '84 Wolfsburg Westy '79 Kombi '00 New Beetle
