I agree, but first make sure the nasty-appearing posting isn't
tongue-in-cheek. It can be hard to tell. I do have a tendency to be a
bit of a smartass (and can think of some long-term listees who are
likewise), and wouldn't want to be banned from the list for a
misinterpretation of a cheeky posting.

If someone has something GENUINELY nasty to say, do it off-list. Or
don't do it at all.

And the emoticons ;)  ;0 :-)  or similar can help ensure no
misunderstanding.
