Subject: Parts shipping assistance from Germany
Comments: To: Syncro@yahoogroups.com

Hello All,

Late last year, I bid of some double cab body parts (gates and door) for my double cab. The vendor originally indicated that they can be shipped via someone else's container. This scenario does not seem to be playing out. Now the vendor is charging me "storage" fees for the items. It is too late for me to resolve this through the normal channels due to the passage of time. I have asked the vendor or quote me alternative shipping fees. No doubt it will be exorbitant given that the items are large and heavy.

Can anyone suggest how I can economically ship these items from Germany to the US. Shipping time is not critical as I am not in dire need of the parts. The consist of two (2) sidegates, one (1) tailgate, one (1) side door, one (1) engine door, one (1) diesel tachometer, and one (1) 2-person front bench.

Any assistance you can render will be appreciated. I know some listees in Germany had offered to assist with this matter before. I mistakenly assumed it was a done deal.

Please pmail me.

I'm also concerned now that when I asked for a diesel tachometer that the vendor may have thought I meant "speedometer".

BenT ps: sorry for the double posts for those on both lists.
