Tire Rack shows the 27x8.5 14 section width to be 8.5 inches, which is comparable to a 215 metric. The diameter is 26.5 inches, which is very close to the '27' in the tire size. 27-14/2=6.5 section height which is 75% of the tire width, so this tire has a 75 aspect ratio. This should be roughly equivalent to 215/75R14 tire size. It also gives you about 780 revs per mile. When cruising at indicated 75 Mph I'm actually closer to 78 Mph, and I usually cruise at an indicated 75 Mph.

You, in your TIICO monster.... ah, never mind. :-)
