What its supposed to do is: when you momentarily push forward on the stalk, it goes into intermittent mode. Push again momentarily and it goes out of intermittent mode. Push long enough to get spraying, and it wipes for 5 sec and then stops without going into intermittent mode (unless it was already in that mode. I forget what happens it it was already in intermittent mode, but I think it stays in that mode.) Try that and see if yours behaves the same. This is the way both our previous 87 and current 90 work.
