Sure its the speedometer and not the cable or hubcap. The hubcap on teh drivers side has a square hole that the speedo cable fits into. After a while the square hole gets rounded out and you need to replace teh hubcap and possibly the lower speedo cable if that has rounded too. Another fine example of the "brilliant german engineering" that has gone into our vans!
