I recently purchased a 1989 Wolfsburg Vanagon. All is going good so far but the engine is running hot. As in the needle is about at the 3/4 mark when cruising, and can get pretty close to the hot line when stuck in traffic. The system has been recently flushed and filled. What should my plan of attack be? Get the radiator cored? Is there a thermostat that could be bad? One more thing, since it's been really hot here (Denver) lately, I've noticed that the oil light has flickered on and off a bit when the AC is cranked up. Oil level is fine. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Tom Shanley 1989 Wolfsburg |
