>Does the weekender have more ROOM for junk? I have an '85 Westy with the weekender interior. Yes, it has much more room inside than a full Westy -- It can take 5 passengers. I carry a propane stove for my cooking and electric cooler/fridge. With two children and a Greyhound, but no wife, I needed the room. My Westy has a full-width rear bench so my daughter can stretch out and take a nap without unfolding the bed. The additional rear-facing seat is great for my son. The fold out table is great for card games and eating while on the road. I use surplus-army ammo cases to store propane cylinders, cans of food and other items. I do wish I had the swivel seats of a full Westy. This would give me even more usable room inside while camping. I wish I could comment on the weight of my Westy, but I would guess that it weighs at least 200 lbs less than a full conversion. Chris S. '85 Westy "Look Mister, you bought a camel. Don't expect it to prance like a stallion."
