Subject: coolant temps
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

I drove a 200 mile round trip on the interstate today and twice as I was driving the coolant warning light came on and the temp needle immediately rose to the extreme high side. I turned off the engine and turned the key to on and watched the needle drop back down to normal and released the clutch and kept on driving. This happened twice and was beginning to worry me that the water pump was going out. Could that be the case? But since it is belt driven I would doubt it would start working again after the engine was shut off. Or is this probably an electrical problem? Any ideas?

Thanks, Nathan 85 Westy
