The motor has a couple of contacts built into it, and what is happening here is the shut off contact is fryed, allowing the motor to keep running---

Only solution is to replace the lock motor---

Start by removing the interior panel and insulation, and look at what moves when you turn the key in the rear hatch lock. Try cleaning and lubricating that shaft, and that will likely cure the problem. If not, I'd then take out the servo and disassemble it and look for burning, broken teeth, etc. bmc :)

When I unlock with the key in the front door, the lock on the rear deck door starts cycling over and over and won't stop. Need some help with this one.   Anyone seen this problem. How to fix? Warren C
