I recently did the switch from power windows to crank.  The holes for the
switches unfortunately are located in a different spot than the crank so it
does leave an ugly hole.  I plan on replacing my door panels eventually but
for now I am glad to have fresh air while driving!

(F.A.S.T. in Irwindale, CA offered to trade me both crank window assemblies
for my one good motor but fortunately my junk van had cranks in nice
condition to do the job.  They probably would make the same deal for you. But
if you do have a good motor you could sell it on ebay and make more than
enough to buy the cranks!)
