Chris,

Are you referring to the removal of the swivel base plate from the original seat sliding tracks? If so,I am happy to inform you that there is absolutely no problem with the removal of the 4 screws :) Lining up the 4 nuts in the original seat track to get them back in can take a little time but really,that's no problem either.

My swivel seat mechanisms (from Oettinger) came with the said nuts attached to a thin metal piece (kinda like a feeler gauge for want of a better description) that allows you to position the nut easily from either end of the original seat tracks and line up with the countersunk hex head bolt in no time.

If yours isn't the same,then all you need is a piece of wire or similar to push/pull the nut into position then replace the screw.
