When I was a kid in NJ, when a car blew a head gasket and was billowing
white smoke, we used to say the car had "picked the pope"... a reference to
the smoke signal system employed by the cardinals when they're sequestered
in the Vatican to elect a new pope. I dunno - I think it's funny...
