Mine also broke a couple days ago. Those plastic pins VW uses to secure the cable router look incredibly weak. In my case only the push pin came out, it would not stay in place when re-inserted. I used a small bolt to reattach the plastic cable guide, much stronger than the plastic insert pin. I bolted both the top and bottom cable guide.

btw, after those plastic clips break and the cable tension is released, and then you press the power window button, you screw up the cable around the pulley in the window motor. Gets kinked and mangled inside. You probably already discovered that though.
