You're definitely right on the designing of permanent storage - it'd not be hard to do. Thanks for the idea!

There are the limiting factors of thickness of stored items, and less important is weight - to take into account . Obviously, I couldn't have something like a deep pot up there, and expect the organizer to fold flat.

But, I agree - much of what's on the organizer could be left there - I never thought of that! (cutlery, spatualas, plates, spices, dish-cloths, anything in a skinny bottle....)

In other words - all the stuff that's a PITA to dig out from the drawers etc. It's no bother to get a pot or a percolator from my box - they're large and easy to find!

I'll continue to modify the organizer as I develop experience with it, and I'll share my results on Ben's site - what a great asset to us all, he is, eh?
