For the uninitiated...something like a third of the State of Maine is even less populated than Caribou -- so little populated in fact (except by trees, if the paper companies haven't been there lately) that the townships are not named. The above-mentioned township (picked out of my hat) would be Township Nine, Range Five, West of the Eastern Line of the State (the North-South line that separates that part of Maine from Canada). No doubt it's entirely owned by the Brown Paper Company or one of its brethren.
