Look for a vacuum or exhaust leak before resorting to the usual suspects. Most folks are going to say AFM trouble -- put the capacitor or use the harness patch from VW. Mine fas a leaky exhaust. I did all the AFM BS before a simple exhaust gasket solve the whole problem.
