Not so, Robert. The Vanagon list is intended for discussion of all issues of general interest to Vanagon owners. I would say that each of your examples fits into that category - we all have them in our vans. (whether or not we are interested in discussing them). Therefore, any of those items are legitimate topics for discussion.

I was just questioning whether or not issues that are *unique* to a specific engine conversion (such as Vag Com software, etc) are better suited to another list where the members can really dive into detail. As I have pointed out, if you read the SubaruVanagon list, you will see an excruciating level of detail in some of the posts that I am quite confident would not be posted if the authors needed to worry about beiing "off topic".

Not trying to be a self-appointed moderator - just suggesting that there may be a better way. So far all of the comments I have received have run counter to my suggestion (all four of them) so I assume that everyone agrees that Tiico posts should stay on the general list. Does this mean that Tiico owners should now feel free to dive into their minutiae? I would imagine they could definitely benefit from such a forum, rather than relying on p-mail back and forth. (archives are such a wonderful thing!)
