Ahh, once again, we slip into evil "reply to all" disease.

I am also on a number of different lists. I can't say why, or because of whom, but I have never, ever, ever seen a single complaint about content. From any of them.

Does this mean that they are better lists, or that the people have a better understanding of the rules? I doubt it. I think there are just too many people on this list who want a private vanagon-only info-list. Period. No community, no understanding, no compassion, no patience, no helping mentality. Just a garbage can of info. A pig trough of knowledge. No personality. No humor. No idiosyncracies. Just a computer that spits out the correct answer to a benal question some key-plunker has. Phooie. Don't need it. Don't want it. It was already invented years ago. It's called the Owners Manual. If you don't see the answer there, god forbid you have to ask another human. You might have to listen to their opinion about something. Remember the "old days" when you had to listen to some 80 year old fart spout about how when he was a kid, "none of this was developed, only milk cows as far as you could see". Ahh remember those days. You actually gained information, not facts, information. Bent and curved by the opinions and experiences of the person relating it to you. Dissected, and digested by your own limited experiences and opinions, these same stories and fables were told to the next poor sap; ignorant to mistake your volume of information on a subject for true knowledge.

Whatever. It's an off topic post. Said so from the beginning. (these are the only ones I read anymore). Move on to your important threads about tire size and color of coolant.

I rant, so therefor I am....

Ward

People, people, why even get into this?

- The discussion was not on topic, we can all agree to that.

- The discussion was also clearly not on topic, so it was easy to avoid (which i did), we can all agree to that

- All lists, big and small, go through phases of greater noise. This is normal.

- For me, a MAC vs PC or discussion about something vanagon that i'm no interested in is exactly the same: it's a discussion i delete and i go on with my life.

Thanks,

Philippe
